*giggles*
Hubby’s watching this TV show, where two groups of foreigners in Japan has to travel from point A to point B. I wasn’t planning to watch it, but it was just too hilarious to watch clueless foreigners trying to figure out how to get around xD
One group was taking a car – it has navigation system, but it is ALL IN JAPANESE. It has voice guidance, too, and one time it announced that “the line is closed ahead, so please be careful.” … IN JAPANESE. The driver was clueless and screaming for HALP!!! He was also scared to touch anything on the GPS, since if he touches something wrong, he feared that the direction might disappear.
On the highway, there are all kind of signs, but he couldn’t figure out what they are, except those signs that says 50m, 100m, 150m. (Those are there so that you know how much space you need to take between cars, I think.) He somewhat knew when there was a speed check points, so whenever that came up, he put on Bush mask xDDD;
The other group took train – they had electronic dictionary thing that will talk in Japanese for them. Japanese who encountered them were just stunned when they heard the electronic voice xD Sometime he mistyped the English and the Japanese just said “HIV Positive” at souvenir store lololol!!
Those foreigners were also surprised at how Japanese line up within the line neatly to wait in line. Lol I should really write this in Japanese so my Japanese friends can laugh at the show with me.
I really hope that I can experience this in real life. I want to send some Japanese-challenged people to Japan, and I just stalk them from behind and laugh at their cluelessness. *evil* It’d be so fun.
I suppose I can do that with hubby. Maybe I should try next time.
