新しいカメラ

冷めてたカメラ熱が旅行の写真集を作ってるうちにだんだん戻ってきたダンナ君、
我慢できなくて買ってしまったキヤノン 7D。
いつもだったら私が止めるんだけど
私も欲しかったので、しばしばねぇ、買わない？と持ちかけてたら
思い立ったが吉日、ためらわずにぽちしたようです。

一晩目。

メモリの種類が SD だとばかり思い込んでいたので
私のパナと両立すべく、持ってたはずの 16G のを探す。
確か先週末、ベガス行く直前にはあったはずだよな。
ケースに入れずに机の上においてあったのを見かけて、
それじゃいかん、とどこかにしまって・・・
どこにしまったっけ？

と、見つからず。

何かにまぎれて無くしてしまわないように大事にしまいこんだのが仇になった。

二晩目。

仕方がないからパナに使ってるメモリ使って試し撮りしてみるか、と
7D を箱から出してみたら、

これって何の法則って言うんだっけ、
マーフィーの法則？

7D のメモリカードの種類はコンパクトフラッシュだったとさ。

がくっ。

んでもまぁ、 CF は前ダンナ君が使ってた 40D 用に手に入れてるから
それを使ってニ、三試し撮り。

写真を撮るのはやっぱ好きだよな。

問題は撮った後にパソコンに取り入れて、
それをアップロードすることだよな・・・。

撮りためて、整理してない写真。
食べ物。
ヒロ。
旅行。

がんばります。

一日一写真アップロードするのは・・・
まぁ、無理しない程度に、「たまに」に変更デス。

Materialistic Whore, Pet, and Camera

Lol. Oh wait, it’s material whore?

Anyway. I love the term now.

There was a sale going on at REI today. Online-wise, today and yesterday. I wasn’t planning on buying anything, but seeing how hubby was buying sooo much stuff yesterday (actually I didn’t know what he bought – I just heard he spent tons of money on that day), it made me want to spend some money and I went shopping crazy >_<;; I know I will end up returning some stuff, but for now, I'm happy. I can't wait until the merchants arrive.

I also went to REI after work today, and was browsing if they have any good ski boots at a discounted price. The pair of boots I have now are very tight on me, and I had to take them off after each run in the past. After taking them off, I always feel blood rushes to my feet, and I always have this… stinging feel to it. It’s like when your feet just comes back from sleeping. (… Does that make sense?) Anyway, it just sucks big time. Soooo yeah. I tried on the only discounted pair of the boots, and I guess it was much more comfortable than what I have now. I tried both 24.5 and 25.5, and it seems 25.5 works better. Hubby said it’s still too expensive, but I bought it anyway o:) I will try to heat up the current boots’ liners and see if I can push their cushions wider, but I think I want to use the new one now >_<;;
 
 
 
Onto pet topic!

Hubby and I have been wanting to get a dog. Probably playing with Tahoe made us want our own dog more. Tahoe’s just so cute *_*

But then… Today, I was looking at pictures like this or that make me want… cats very badly >_<;;

Or this! And that!! Oh wait – that’s something else. D:

Looking at pictures also make me want to learn more about how to use camera better, too. I’ve gotta be more creative… Or rather, I’ve got to have some “eyes” that can see things/compositions differently (yet eye-catching) than other people.

Hmmm… … …..

I guess I should start with learning how to use the Canon 40D huh? … D:;

パスワードつけてもリンク先にはパスワードついてないからあんま意味無いんだけどね。でもやっぱ、なんとなく。

Christmas in the Park: 私の会社の近くのダウンタウンでは毎年クリスマス・イン・ザ・パークってのやってます。 去年の。十一月も終わりだってのにこの日は暑い日で、ニューも私も半そででした。この次の週からぐんと寒くなるんだけどね。

Christmas Decoration
クリスマス・イン・ザ・パークを見終わった後、一気にクリスマスモードになったので、お家でも飾り付けしました。結婚してから初めてのクリスマス。この飾り付けがこれから恒例になったらいいな。

Gochi with Chans
つい最近結婚した Chan 家との晩御飯。「ごち」という日本食の小料理屋さんでご飯をいただきました。

Work Lunch Out
社内で大掛かりな組織？再編成があったので、違うグループになる前にみんなでご飯。ノン・チャイニーズと飲茶行くのって、結構楽しいです。これ何？これ何？って質問攻めだったけど。

Ski & Snowboard
同僚の買ったタイム・シェアのホテルがあいてるので、一晩 50 ドルでどうか、と言われ、急遽行くことになったスキー・スノボ旅行。まだまだ世間的には平日だったので、スキー場はがらがらで、雪もふわふわで最高でした。雪がずっと降ってたから寒かったけどね。

食べるのが一日のハイライト

「ねぇ、もうそろそろ何でもかんでも冷蔵庫にあるものを具に放り込むのやめようよ？」

といわれた今日の晩御飯。

名前を度忘れしたえびを使ったパスタ料理を作りたかったんだけど、思い浮かばずに断念。一回作ったっきりだったので、なんとなくうろ覚えで作ってみました。で、図に乗ってまたまた冷蔵庫にある食材を適当に放り込んでみる、と。もう料理名が浮かばない時点でそれを作るのをあきらめてたといったほうが良いかも？

今日の具は → えび、コーン、ブロッコリー、ほうれん草、しいたけ（笑）、マッシュルーム、にんじん、たまねぎ、トマト缶。

ちなみに豆知識。

なお、特に日本国内においては制限はないが、アメリカの一部の州では、最初の包丁の入れ方に制限を設けているところがある。海老の甲を左右に分断する形で切断しないと、動物愛護に関する州法等の法令により罰則が科せられる場合がある。これは、海老の脳を切断する形でないと海老に苦痛を与えるということによる罰則である。日本国内でもこの形で切断している場合が多いが、これは切断後に身が取り出しやすいためでもある。

ミニ大根

を収穫しました。（おい

tanpopo

正体はタンポポの根っこ。
まだやわらかい双葉ぐらいしか出てないクセしてこのぶっとい根っこ。

どこから飛んでくるのか、庭にいっぱい赤ちゃんタンポポが植わっていたので
この何週間は見つけ次第抜いてくことにします。

タンポポの根っこって奥深くまで植わってるってたぶん小学生の頃に習ったと思うんだけど
ダンナ君曰く、
根っこは浅いからすぐ抜けるよ～
だそうな。 -__-;;

写真 Pictures

やっとアップロードしました。

I finally uploaded the pictures from engagement, wedding, and honeymoon. There are more to come, but I’m just being slow in the process… I also need to ask people to send me the original file so I can upload them all at the same place +_+;

Bouts

Since we will need so many boutonnières and the flower store quoted $8 a piece, I thought of making it myself. I remember making those for mother’s day back in the days… at church.

I went to Michael’s and bought a fake flower and the green tape to tie it around. This green tape brings back so much memory. It doesn’t stick at first, but as you stretch it and wrap around something, it gets sticky. After a while you’re done, it’ll get non-sticky again.

Since just making a boutonnières is kind of a waste (though I’ll probably go make one later), I put it on a pen:

Orange Flower Pen

It turned out good, even though I haven’t done this in ages. I showed it to hubby afterwards, and he was saying let’s make this our wedding favor… -__- I bet no one will want it. We’ll probably use this (but with a better pen) at the reception.

So yeah, I think DIY’ing boutonnières is not a problem… but I don’t think I’ll have enough time the day before wedding… … orz;

The Flickr bit sounds cool. Flickr seems to be the biggest (at least around me) photo gallery place now, so it’s good that Adobe could hook up with them. I’m quite interested in Embedded player as well; I wonder how it’ll show on other web services. Gotta try it one of these days.

ありゃもう五月だ >_<

四月中にこれをアップしようと思ったんだけど、間に合わなかったです↓


四月のカレンダーの写真なんだけど、一目見たとたんうちのダンナ君曰く

「このちびペンギン俺に似てね？」

そーか、腹が出てて猫背なのは自分で分かってはいるのか。

ひとまずそれを改善すべく夜寝る前に腹筋 30 回 x 2 セット。いつまで続くことやら。
 
 
 
んで、五月になったってことは結婚式に一段近づいたって事で・・・。

はっきり言ってあまり進んでません； いいのかこんなんで？

プランするのあまり好きじゃありません。もうぶっちゃけ日本のパックの結婚式したいです。アメリカ留学しに来る時に「全部自力で調べて実行に移すなんて、行動力のある娘さんですね」なんて母が国際センターの方に言われてた頃の面影なんて全然ありません。

でもあのまま日本ですんでたらきっと母教会で結婚式を挙げてたんだろうなぁ。 18 年育ったところだし。交通の便もいいし（どっか違う

まぁひとまず後一ヵ月半、がんばりますか。
